There seem to be a lot of DIY scarves on Pinterest. I finally decided I’d give some a try after seeing some that looked particularly easy and required NO sewing. I’m still undecided on this first one. All I did was cut out some circles and then cut them into spirals, gave each piece a good pull and then tied them together. If you need more explanation (and I’m sure you do, cuz I just read that and it really makes no sense!) go here.
This next one is REALLY easy. So easy a child with scissors could do it. For real. All you need is an XL T-shirt.
Cut off the bottom hem.
Here I cut off the top part starting in the arm pit area, but if you wanted a longer scarf you could cut up higher by the neckline.
Then you pull on it to give it the business (and make the edges roll up nicely – so no worries if you can’t cut straight – see what I mean – a CHILD could do this one!).
And VOLIA – Infinity Scarf for the price of a plain T-shirt! 5 bucks at Walmart or you could use any old T-shirt you have laying around.
This is who this scarf was originally intended for. I don’t think I can pull off this little girl lilac color. Though, this was a WOMEN’S shirt. Whatever.
She liked it, but she turned on me when I wouldn’t let her take the picture of herself, herself. Sheesh.
Scarves for everyone!
